Pixie was found roaming the streets alone by Greg; a homeless man who lives downtown. He said he needed to find a better home for Pixie since he had 4 other dogs and it was too hard to take care of all of them. He had her about 2 years and she was so loved, he cried when he had to let her go, even offering up one of his blankets for her on a day when it was 42 degrees outside.

Pixie now lives with her foster mom, a 63 lb dog and a cat. She likes being around other dogs, but I think would be just as happy as an only dog. She doesn’t mind the cat, just smells her and lets the cat do her cat thing. Pixie loves to go on walks and to play outside. When she is inside she loves a good nap on a comfy bed or next to you on the couch. Pixie loves naps and a good massage. Pixie loves to give kisses and will greet you at the door when you get home from work with the most excited dance you will ever see. She is very loving and wants to let you know she really missed you.

Pixie, miraculously is house trained, has never gone potty on her foster mom’s floor, not once. She is crate trained, though her foster mom doesn’t put her in a crate anymore, because Pixie is so good, she has never torn anything up or peed on anything while she is out or at work, so Pixie gets to roam the house as she pleases with the other animals until foster mom gets home. What a good dog!

Pixie needs a minute to warm up to people and animals. She just needs a little reassurance she is safe. But after a few minutes of petting and playing, her heart is yours!

Pixie would love someone or a family that would take her on walks, and play outside with her, cuddle up on the couch.

Her foster mom, promised Greg, Pixie would have an amazing home and be very happy in her life, forever…and that is the home she deserves.

This animal has been lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home! Please help us find homes for the others by contributing in any of these ways.
