Zippy was found wandering about by a woman who could not keep him. She put him in a box and brought him to another shelter that has almost no foot traffic. He was surely doomed, but a rescuerer lobbied for a home for Zippy and we were able to find a foster for him. When Zippy first arrived, he was 3 pounds and you could see his ribs and his backbone was very prominent. Now that he's getting regular meals, he's put some weight on - and is now about 4.1 pounds.

Zippy is a very sweet boy. He greets new people easily, he gets along with other dogs and cats. He loves to go on walks and enjoys "zipping around". He's working on his house training, but is not perfect at it yet. Zippy is a confident dog, you can take him anywhere and he seems happy to be with you. Zippy is a sock stealer though. He does not chew on them, but he will bring them into his bed. Zipply loves to find safe places to nap, he'll lay on your tummy if you are laying down on the couch or nestle in your lap if you are sitting. He is very much an affectionate little dog.

Zippy is a very social dog. We would like to adopt him to a home that already has one small dog so that he will have company.

Zippy is in a foster home and not at the shelter so if you want to arrange to meet him or know more about him, contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
