Luna is a HSDC Alumni. She was rescued by one of our volunteers from a shelter a few hours away where she and his brother were going to be euthanized as puppies. They have lived in a home for about a year, but they each need a separate home where they can flourish and learn socialization skills. Both Luna and her brother Coach are terrified of men. This interrupts their daily lives- and they refuse to even eat when a man is around. There is a man currently living in the home with them so they are in a constant state of fear.
Luna is good with cats, children, and would probably thrive in a home with a dog that can show her its more fun when you aren't scared!
A perfect home for Luna would be a single woman (or women) with no adult men living with them. Luna's new family would need to clearly understand Coach's submissive fear of men. Coach and his family would have to be willing to engage in proper management and start a long-term behavior modification program (e.g., desensitization and counterconditioning to men).
if you would like to help foster or adopt Coach!
This animal has been lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home! Please help us find homes for the others by contributing in any of these ways.
