Baby Lettuce can be found across the room from where she was seen a second ago. She grew teeth first, and keeps everyone aware of that. She raises hell when her paw is gently stepped on by mistake because she's always underfoot. She hops like a cricket, growls through mouthfuls of toys, chases the others to bite them, and moves in evasive patterns until she gets tired, when she's fine falling asleep on her sister Baby Carrot or on any available human.
Bonita and her kittens -- Baby Carrot, Baby Lettuce, Baby Arugula, Baby Kale, and Baby Squash -- were abandoned in a box in front of the shelter when the kittens were only 10 days old. The staff rescued them and placed them in foster care. They will be ready for adoption around mid-December of 2013.
