Shasta was found at a construction site in a very dangerous location with 3 other siblings. Their mom is a brown, shepherd like dog about 45 lbs, but the dad dog is unknown.
The men at the construction site alerted a DKC volunteer about the puppies and one day they teamed up to corral the tiny pups, found hiding in the debris of the construction site. They were all very scared initially.
After one week at our shelter, the puppies have adjusted to being around humans and also other dogs. They enjoy chasing one another, playing tug of war, and splashing in baby pool. Shasta is particularly drawn to humans. While the other dogs are romping around, Shasta seeks out pets and cuddles from the humans in the area. He's a total lover doggie!
Since they are all still yound, they will require someone who can spend time with them while they are growing up and can teach them important skills like housetraining.
Do you have room in your family for any one of these adorable pups?
Come see the group of them at Dog & Kitty City.
