Little Miss Bright Eyes was found by her rescuers hiding under the neighbor's car and they are trying to find her a new forever home – they have very young children and active dogs are too much for them.
Bright Eyes is very loving, energetic, playful and likes to play chase and tag – she gets along well with other dogs and loves to play and wrestle with the family Chihuahua but when it's time, they are fine with just relaxing together. She weighs about 25 pounds and is 6-7 months old.
This little girl is a little shy with strangers but when she learns they are "okay", she becomes super friendly. A mellow soul in the mornings, she's laid back and loves her morning belly rubs. Bright Eyes is still in her curious puppy stage, loves her toys and is very good with car rides.
We are not sure of her breed but she has the coloring, size, ears, etc. of a Basenji so it's possible she is a mix of Basenji and some other great stuff. If you have an active family and are looking for a sweet loyal companion with lots of fun and energy all wrapped together, Bright Eyes is your girl.
She is not at the shelter but in her foster home. Please contact
if you would like to make arrangements to meet her during the week or ask questions about this wonderful girl. She will also be at our Saturday offsite adoption events at PetSmart (Forest and Inwood).
