Yingyang

Golden Retriever / Labrador Retriever [Mix]

Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn with White

Date of Birth: 2008

Medium • Adult • Female • Dog

DOB 2008

Yingyang was born in northeastern Oklahoma. She was raised with her brother and littermate Golddust. They lived in Oklahoma until their owner could no longer take care of them and they came to Dallas to a foster home where they now live. Golddust and Yingyang are a Lab/Golden Retriever mix.

Yingyang has the look of a “mix” which makes her “one of a kind” and gives her a lot of personality. She is in excellent health and weighs 59 pounds. She readily approaches anyone she knows and asks to be petted; she gives “the paw” if she feels the petting has stopped prematurely. She gives her kisses freely as “thank you” or as “here I am, talk to me!” She offers her tummy for rubs every chance she gets. Yingyang is a snuggle bunny! She likes to cuddle up with her foster family or with Golddust. As long as she is touching her “family” she is good! She will defer to Golddust and follow his example unless she wants to go first for a treat, or to get outside when something interesting is going on. She is definitely the more timid of the two.

She enjoys her inside/outside time and freedom to use the “doggie door”. She equally likes to lay in the yard while Golddust goes exploring and to have people companionship inside. She enjoys children and lets them pet her as long as they are gentle.

Because Yingyang and Golddust are twins, they walk on a leash side by side and will stay with their “person” even if no one is holding the leash. She is definitely a “homebody” and has shown no inclination to stray too far. Going to the doggie park is a new experience for her. She prefers to sit close to me and watch the other dogs and listen to the humans talk!

Golddust and Yingyang are looking to be loving and loyal companions to a new family – won’t you find it in your heart to make room for them. They are not at the shelter but in a foster home.
