Duke was rescued from the Denton animal shelter where his time was up. Even though she already had three dogs, his foster mom could not bear to see him put down so she adopted him. Although she loves him and he is an absolutely great dog, four dogs are just too many for her household and she wants to find a good loving home for Duke.
This boy weighs 73 pounds, is just two years old and needs an active home – there are no children in his current home but since he is so sweet, they don't believe children will be a problem. Duke is housebroken but has not been crate trained. He gets along with bigger dogs but will need to be tested with any smaller dogs and with cats.
If you are someone who wants a fun and loyal companion, has a fenced yard where he can get plenty of exercise, willing to make him an active part of the family, then Duke is the dog for you!!
Duke is not at the shelter but in a foster home. If you want to meet wonderful Duke, please contact us at
