Huey was rescued by two people who heard some noise in an alley and discovered him abandoned in a box – no Dewey and Louie – only tiny Huey who was much too young to be away from his mom!!! They brought him to the shelter and he is now safe in a foster home.
Huey is very young and appears to be a terrier/shih tzu mix – but as he grows we will be able to tell more about him. It doesn’t matter that much because this guy is one cute bundle!! He has a tiny underbite that adds even more cuteness to his precious little face. His foster family reports that he loves to spend all his energy playing with toys – he loves chew toys, tug toys and toys that squeak! Some of his favorite things are cuddle time, getting pets and scratches on his belly and under his ears. Huey sleeps all night in his crate and when no one is home – his potty training is going great and he is learning to sit (mostly for the treats of course). As he grows he needs to learn all his good doggie manners and that shouldn’t be too difficult because he loves attention and has lots of love to give.
Huey will be a small dog so an apartment or a house would work just fine for him. If you are looking for a little love bug who is sure to win your heart if you meet him – this guy is for you!! Huey is not at the shelter but in a foster home. If you would like to meet or ask other questions about him, please contact
