Sammy ("All American Boy" mix) has had a rough start in life!!! He was dropped off on the property of his foster family early on a Sunday morning to fend for himself – not a good situation. Sammy was lucky though because the owners of the property are very kind people and they took Sammy in and will look after him until a good home is found.
Sammy has now had his first set of puppy shots, Bordatella vaccine, on heartworm preventative and is on Frontline. A very happy and playful boy, he gets along with the other dogs in the family, shows no aggression or dominance and he likes to play with a stray kitten that appeared on the property. Sammy is friendly and loves people - a smart, sensitive guy, willing and eager to please, he should be very easy to train. His foster family is working on some training and good doggie manners – he responds to "no" and Ceasar Milan's voice command to stop doing what you are doing because that is a no-no!!! He is almost completely house trained and taught himself how to use the doggy door.
If someone is willing to give this deserving little guy a loving indoor home, attention and plenty of exercise they will no doubt get a faithful and devoted companion in return.
Sammy is in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you would like to meet or ask other questions about him, please contact Kristin W McHenry at
