Lewis was found by his foster mom running back and forth around I-35 near the Baylor University campus – he was very hungry and hurt. He's all fixed up now and looking to be a fun active part of a wonderful home.
Lewis is house trained, knows how to sit, shake and play ball. He is extremely affectionate to people, loves other dogs (but not cats!), seems fine with the children he has encountered (although he hasn't been exposed to them much) and loves snuggling - he's also a well-behaved passenger in the car. He is a delightful guy with a happy disposition and is very loyal. Lewis is very intelligent and loves to learn new tricks and will eagerly learn in exchange for some praise, claps and lots of hugs!!! At not quite a year and weighing 65 pounds, Lewis still has a little growing to do.
Lewis' foster mom has taken very good care of him since she rescued him but he very much needs a home of his own. If you are looking for a sweet happy kind of a guy to be part of your family, please give loveable Lewis some consideration.
Lewis is in his foster home and not at the shelter. If you would like to meet or ask other questions about him, please contact Sarah at
This animal has been lucky enough to be adopted into a loving home! Please help us find homes for the others by contributing in any of these ways.
