Meet Francine – an older dog who was found by one of our volunteers in the middle of Abrams Road. She did not have tags or a microchip and flyers left in local vet clinics and neighborhood pet watch boards all went unanswered. This kind volunteer is fostering her now but we need to help find this sweet girl a home – there is nothing fair and it is very sad that a dog Francine's age is without the comfort of a home of her very own.
Francine is a boxer mix and she is estimated to be around 8 years of age but certainly still has some good years in front of her.
Her foster mom already has a female dog in the house and this dog has not taken kindly to having another female dog around. Francine is very mild-mannered and does not take up for herself in this situation but she would be great in a home with other non-aggressive dogs, cats and with children.
Francine is a gentle soul with a sweet kind looking face - but she lets her inner pup out when she's able to run in large open spaces. She is perfectly potty trained and walks well on a leash and loves a good belly scratch. She also likes to spend time just snoozing on her doggie bed.
Francine certainly deserves better than what has been dealt to her - will you let this sweet gentle girl retire with your family?
Francine is not at the shelter but is in a foster home so is you would like to meet her or ask more questions, contact
