Trip was found wandering around in an alley of all places, probably looking for food since his ribs were visible. He was taken in by a kind family and received lots of love and care and has perked right back up and weighs just about what a dog his size should weigh. Now he's ready to go on a journey to try and find his forever home.
He's a smart little fellow (he weighs around 18 pounds) and has learned to sit, wait by the door before going out and is making a lot of progress with his housetraining. Trip is just a little joy and has a lot of love to offer. He has lots and lots of energy, loves his walks and does great on a leash. He likes to follow his foster mom around the house, sit on the couch and of course let you know that he's there for pets!!!
We are not sure what breed this Trip of a guy is but terrier of some sort and maybe a Jack Russell mix. You can certainly spot him in a crowd with those jack rabbit ears and his distinctive black head and white and black spotted body.
If you are looking for a fun, energetic guy who loves meal time and are willing to work on his training, give him plenty of exercise and throw in some dental chews and carrots on top of that, you will get a great companion in this dog.
Trip is not at the shelter but in foster care but if you want to see this cutie little guy you can contact us at
to make an appointment to see him.
