Maggie is about 6 years old and possibly a German Shepherd mix but very small weighing about 30 pounds.
She and her buddy Daisy have been neglected most of their lives - just put into a back yard and left to fend for themselves. Thankfully they had each other all those years and are doing just fine now.
Maggie is very sweet and full of energy. She loves playing with her rope and running with it around the back yard. But then she can just calm right down and snuggle up with you too. She is very intelligent and has picked up on her basic training extremely fast. She can be very timid, so she will need some reassurance until she gets to know you, then she's all love and kisses. Maggie plays well with humans and other dogs as long as they are not too scary and overwhelming.
Maggie and Daisy have been together as good buddies their entire lives and it would be best if they could be adopted together but their foster mom believes if they are adopted into a loving family as indoor pets that they would do okay without the other.
Maggie is not at the shelter but in her foster home. If you want to meet this very deserving sweet girl, please contact Tiana at
