Paco was found running loose on the streets and brought to the shelter. Of course running loose and on his own is nowhere for a little guy to be. Paco is a cute shy little fellow, who gets along with other small dogs but the bigger dogs seem to frighten him.
With his stocky build and curly tail it appears Paco could be a Basenji mix - an alert, affectionate, energetic, curious and reserved breed. He probably will not weigh more than 20-25 pounds.
Paco's foster mom says he is a little hyper in the house but loves to play outside running and chasing leaves. She is working on housebreaking him and teaching him to sit and stay - he loves the getting treats part of it. Paco is also learning to stay in his crate at night. Baby gates won't work to keep him out of a room, he simply climbs over them!!!
Paco is not at the shelter but in a foster home. If you are interested in meeting this cutie little guy, please contact us at
