Dolly was surrendered to the shelter by her family who could no longer take care of her. We say "hello Dolly…well hello Dolly - it would be so nice to find you a place where you belong"!!!
Sweet sweet Dolly has come a long way since she first appeared at the shelter as a shy timid girl with little self confidence who apparently had been on few walks on the leash. She has gained needed confidence, gets along well with the other dogs at the shelter and loves to play with them in the yard. She has a lot of energy and is eager to walk or run - whatever is offered to her. She needs work on her leash walking but she is doing much better. Full of kisses and wanting to please, she likes pets and attention.
Dolly is a German Shepherd/mix – perhaps there is some Golden Retriever in there. She is between six and nine months of age with an expressive face and big ears that stand up like bat ears when she is curious or reacting to something. She recently had the opportunity to ride in a car back to the shelter from an offsite shelter event and did just fine.
Dolly needs a home where she will be shown patience and she will obviously need lots of encouragement and love. She will need plenty of exercise and play time so a fenced yard would be perfect and she needs to learn housetraining and all the things necessary for her to become a loving companion. With all that, we are sure she will be just the perfect girl for some lucky family.
Come and see our Dolly at Dog & Kitty City.
