Annie was found by one of the shelter's volunteers. It's a real shame that a dog the age of Annie would be out and alone on the streets and obviously fending for herself for quite some time. If she recently had a home, she was certainly not well taken care of by her owners since she is very thin. Annie is currently being treated for phagocytophilum caused by tick bites but she will be fine after treatment.
Annie is a quiet little girl, very reserved and cautious but she will come to you and will accept pets, some attention and then if you offer her a treat or two, you will sense a big thank you from her as she happily crunches away!!!!.
Annie is thought to be a Pomeranian/mix. Poms are typically a very friendly and lively breed of dog – they love to be around their owners and bond quickly with them. We had to have Annie shaved because of the shape of her coat but her hair will grow back and she will be back to a normal appearance soon!!
Annie should be all snuggled in her bed at home or happily riding around in the car with a caring owner but as with most good things in life, sometimes they take time coming. Annie is safe at the shelter now and this might be the nicest place she has been in quite a while but still not where she should be spending the middle years of life. Won't you please consider giving this quiet deserving little girl a safe place with your family, we are sure you won't be disappointed!!!.
Come see precious Annie at Dog & Kitty City.
