Chloe came to us from a kill shelter where her time was up – our Shelter director saw what a great girl she is and said the shelter would be happy to give her another chance to find the perfect home!!
Chloe loves being with her human friends and will follow you from room to room but doesn’t beg constantly for attention. Quiet and calm, her favorite thing is to just hang out with you. She loves her walks and is getting much better on a leash. She’s shy around other dogs and may not blend well in a family with an alpha female dog. Give her time to get acquainted with any pets you already have in your family. But she may prefer to be an only dog with a loving human friend.
She is potty trained.
She loves chasing squirrels, so always be on alert when walking her so you don't get your arm ripped off when she sees one.
She is very mellow in the house--wants to be in the same room with you, but just lays down.
Not food focused, could just take or leave food.
Loves bones but doesn't eat them--she only wants to hide them.
Mixes well with SOME dogs, is finicky with others. Best way to introduce her to a new dog is to have them meet on neutral territory and immediately go on a walk together. Don't force a face to face sniff, she is most likely to snap at them if you try that as their first meeting. Go on a walk together first, then just hang out on leash after.
She doesn't mix well with cats. The terrier in her just wants to chase them.
She snores sometimes, but it's really cute.
She has been known to push open almost-closed doors with her nose and get out--so be aware of that and don't leave doors just "half-closed", she will escape.
Would you be willing to make room in your life for this very sweet little girl who deserves so much better than she has gotten so far – we just know you won't be disappointed!!
