Bubba came to the shelter because his owner, who has had Bubba since he was 8 weeks old, suffered a recent illness and although it was a painful and difficult decision gave him up because he can no longer adequately take care of him.
A gentle giant of a dog, Bubba’s striking good looks make him stand out in a crowd. He is house trained, gets along with other dogs and cats, is great with children and he really loves people and belly rubs.
Bubba is an African Boelboel - a large, heavy mastiff breed very distinctive in appearance. The head is very square in shape with a short, thick muzzle and wide massive head. They are intelligent and energetic. They are the most protective dog breed that is not aggressive. They require human companionship and structure. Although they are more suitable for large yards, they are adaptable and can live in small environments as long as they receive regular exercise and lots of attention.
Bubba has some allergies and takes Benadryl when needed. He currently weighs 130 pounds and is a big eater.
If you have the time, the room and the patience to give him attention, love and exercise and in return get a loyal loving companion, please consider opening up your home and heart for this handsome guy.
Please come and see Bubba at Dog & Kitty City
