Kit and Kat, brother and sister, were left in a box at the shelter during the day. They are totally cute puppies - just enjoying all the normal puppy things - jumping around, chewing, napping and pouncing.
We are not entirely sure what breed they are or exactly how big they may get. They might be Labrador Retriever mix with perhaps Beagle or maybe Basset Hound (when you look at Kit's feet) - it doesn't matter what the mix - all together it comes out cute, fun-loving and just precious! All of these possible breeds are well-balanced, friendly, versatile, adaptable to a wide range of functions, make very good family pets and are excellent with children. They are even-tempered with good dispositions and quite smart.
Kit is very energetic and will attack you will plenty of face kissing and licks. He loves to play with his sister Kat and plays very well with the other puppies and smaller dogs at the shelter. One of the Volunteers has been working with Kit on his walking with a leash, which Kit loves, and has been training him to sit. Of course, when a treat is involved, Kit gets totally excited!! He has a great family dog demeanor and there should not be an issue with children other than he is a puppy and likes to nip and play rough on occasion.
A good fit for Kit is one where size won't be an issue as he grows. Without knowing exactly what breed he is, it is hard to guess what his weight might be but somewhere around 50 pounds would probably be close. Since Kit is young, a setting where he is nurtured and shown patience is ideal. He needs to learn housetraining and good dog manners.
