Arrived at shelter 3/11/10

 

Blizzard is a big, beautiful dog with a sweet, fun personality. He came to our shelter from another city that didn't have space for him. In his pictures, you'll see a dog with long flowing locks. That's how this dog normally looks. We shaved him since he had mats, so when you meet him in person, he may not look like the same dog.

 

His looks may be different, but his friendly, fun personality is the same. Blizzard is very affectionate to humans, he's a good co-pilot in the car, though he may try to sneak in a little smooch/lick. He walks well on the leash, not pulling.

 

A good owner is one that has the time to give Blizzard at least one long walk a day, better two. Since he has such long hair, you should be prepared for additonal costs for grooming or extra time doing it yourself. Regular brushings are a good idea. And, of course, there is shedding, so be prepared for that!

 

It will all be worth it, this dog is loyal and friendly.
