Every since he was a pup he was the center of attention. He loves children and loves to feel and be apart of family outings and functions. He loves to cuddle and eat his cheesy snacks. Although he has gotten sick with Encephalitis he still has a lot of life to live and love to give. Peyton will be a great addition to a family home.
Encephalitis is inflammation of the brain. Viral infections are the most common cause of the condition. Encephalitis can cause flu-like symptoms, such as a fever or severe headache. It can also cause confused thinking, seizures, or problems with senses or movement. With proper treatment and care, symptoms gradually improve within two to eight weeks; however, the overall prognosis depends on the underlying cause of the condition. For example, in some dogs, symptoms may reappear once treatment is discontinued. In such instances, a second round of treatment (or long-term treatment) may be required to save the dog's life.
Since he is in our Guest Foster Program you will need to fill out an application first online or at the shelter.
