I just wanted to tell you how absolutely wonderful Baby Lettuce (Nomsa) and Baby Carrot (Tombi) are! They are very settled now and they are the best thing that has happened to us recently!!!! We are just besotted over these two funny, energetic, entertaining, sweet little babies. Thanks so much for making a difference to our lives!
Scarlett has been doing so well since I brought her home with me in August. She is the sweetest and cuddliest dog! Scarlett went home with me to visit our family in Ohio and she met and played all week with her doggy cousins there! She loves people and is always searching for a warm lap to sit on! I couldn't be more happy to have Scarlett in my family.
So I was on your website today and decided I needed to send an update on Tina, who I adopted in August of 2012. It's been over a year now and she has stolen not only my heart but everyone's she meets. She is smart and playful and very loving. She's not a good guard dog as she let a cat in the pet door one night when I was out but other than a pillow I had to throw out everything was fine! She's even a local celeb as she was featured in the Lakewood Advocate last summer. You can look her up online by searching Lakewood pet edition. I attached her picture from the article. I have to say my life would not be complete without her. Thanks for taking care of her until I could pick her up!
Bonnie [formerly Beasley] is doing very well! She now sees a dermatological specialist. It turns out that her mange and infections were linked to environmental allergies, which caused dermatitis and made Bonnie more prone to everything else. She has been treated, she no longer itches at all, and her fur has come back in. She is (and always was) such a beautiful girl, inside and out. We've attached a picture of her now, and one of her and Bruce (our favorite).
We are beginning to believe that she is part retriever. She picks up sticks on our walks and carries them home. We call them her little "treasures."
Bruce and her are the best of friends now! They play together and nap together and really enjoy each others' company. He's become very affectionate towards her - even protective. And like a typical little sister, she follows him around and is always asking him to play.
We are so thankful to DKC for the opportunity to have Bonnie in our lives. She was a true diamond in the rough. She's affectionate, friendly and always happy, and brings a lot of joy to our family. We hope that she feels the same about us!
Macie's new caretakers sing her praises. She is such a sweet and affectionate dog. She is always so happy to see them at lunch time and at the end of a working day.
She has been to the vet who esteems her to be in good heath, but must lose a couple of pounds. She is house trained. She is being taught how to walk on a leash. When she shows signs of aggression toward other dogs, the Cesar Milan method is applied. Macie is already showing signs of improvement in her attitude toward potential playmates.
This young couple thanks Dog and Kitty City for having rescued their new family member.
I'm finally sending some of Robbie's pictures (I have so many!).
Robbie is just perfect. He is a very smart and sweet little puppy. He has learned very quickly lots of tricks, he knows how to sit, shake, roll over, walk on his hind legs, crawl, stay and so many more! He is also completely potty and crate trained and he is just amazing! I have been told by several people while we are walking that I have a very happy dog!
I want to give you an update on Van. He is doing great. It's still an adjustment with my other cats. Lily is very curious not so offended. Nelson, the oldest, is standoffish. All in all he is transitioning flawlessly.
I did change his name to Dex. He is a true sweetheart which says a lot about the care he received at the shelter. I cannot imagine life without him.
I wish for all in your care to find equally loving homes. Thank you and your team for all you do!
