We absolutely love Macie. She is such a wonderful dog and we never get tired of cuddling with her. When we each got sick, she refused to leave our sides.
We took her to a training class and she picks up on the tricks really well. She still does not like other dogs and our trainer recommended we take her to a Behaviorist. We have not decided if we want to go with that approach or not.
She has lost some weight, but she absolutely hates the cold which has been difficult this winter. We take her on long walks when the weather is nice.
We adore her and could not have imagined a better match. Picture is attached.
Hi Everybody! It's me Tucker! You probably remember me as Hershey. Anyway, I am doing great in my new home. My mom and dad have spoiled me terribly. I am all settled in and very happy. Since I left you guys, I have been to the vet, have ridden in a shopping cart at the pet store, been to the beauty shop and met my extended family. I have two aunts who think I'm the "cutest little boy they've ever seen." I have toys and clothes and my very own kennel to keep me safe while my parents are gone. Take a look at the photos I sent!
Thank you all for taking such good care of me and getting my picture out for adoption. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to have such a "Cush" life now. I appreciate all you did for me!
This is what we do on a snowy day..... She has already trained herself to "go outside". We are in heaven with her! She loves Sam and I think he is trying to figure out what she is all about. But he let her lie right by him on the best last night.
It’s been nearly two years since I adopted littermates Monte (f/k/a Stephen) and Dewey (f/k/a Stevie) and I’m happy to report they are doing very well.
Monte is the quintessential lap cat with a special knack for settling in the very second I start thinking about getting up. He is a picky eater, loves to stick his head into any unattended cup, and thinks he was born to kill straws. Dewey has a lower tolerance for cuddling but stops by several times a day for quick bursts of attention. He is an amazing athlete, loves to play fetch with a toy mouse (until Monte butts in and carries it off), and thinks everyone should be awake before the sun comes up.
It’s only 50-50 whether Monte or Dewey will acknowledge someone calling his name but both will race to anyone that says the word “breakfast” or “treats”. Their day involves several sessions of chasing and bouts of kitty-ju-jitsu. Dewey is far fiercer but, as a good brother, he lets Monte chase him or wrestle from the top about half of the time. As partners in crime, the boys can turn a bathroom into Bourbon-Street-after-Mardi-Gras in less than 3 minutes. Consequently, all rolls of Charmin must live in a drawer in order to survive. Just one of dozens of changes made around the house since they moved in (all of them worth it).
After not owning a pet for 25 years, I am so happy that I have Monte and Dewey in my life. They make me laugh every day. Thank you for putting us together. And a special thank you to the staff that took such good care of Dewey following the surgery he needed to fix his congenital hernia. I think you would be amazed and pleased at how strong and agile that little guy is now.
Things are going really well. She hissed at us only a couple of times within the first week, but I think it was because we scared her. She hasn't done that in a while.
She's definitely gotten used the house, and she has a few favorite spots to nap and perch. We got her a nice scratching post, so she uses that a lot, and hasn't torn up anything. She's a cuddler, which is great, and we've really enjoyed getting to know her and making her a part of our family. We even had some guests stay at our house last weekend, and she did really
well! She was shy at first, but she eventually came around.
We're getting our routine down! She enjoys playing in the morning, so it helps me to get up and spend some time with her to get that energy out before we're gone for the day. Most evenings, she'll curl up with us as we watch TV or read.
All in all, things are going very well. She seems to be happy in her new home - we are certainly very happy with her.
Lexi [formerly Katie] is doing great. She sleeps a lot right now but I’m assuming she is trying to adjust. She definitely is a lap dog. Yesterday, she crawled up in my lap while I was getting ready (it’s one of the pictures I attached). I’m so happy to have her!
Elton and Sophie are getting along beautifully! They have already chased each other around the house taking turns and having fun. These two cannot get enough of each other! They are perfect mates! They play constantly and it fills me with joy and love for such a union as this. Elton is a true blessing and we are so thankful to be providing his forever home.
Wanted to share pictures of Arthur, who we've renamed Atlas. He's doing so well. Doctor says he's in great health and he's really transitioned well to his new home. We're very happy that he's part of our family.
