Hi - I just wanted to give you a quick update on Dory :)
We have decided to keep the name Dory. My husband took her to the vet on Monday the 19th and she got a clean bill of health. He found out she is not a German Shepherd like I had thought but an Anatolian Shepherd, which means she is going to be a big girl weighing between 80-100 pounds. Right now she weighs 25 pounds.
We are still working on housebreaking her, but she is getting so much better. We are treat training her and the kids love giving her milkbones. We are also planning on enrolling her in Petsmart obedience training after the kids get out of school next week.
Attached is a picture taken today when we got home.
Back in 2010 I adopted my pup from your shelter - then named Thea, but now goes by Moxie. I never got the chance to really thank you. This little girl has changed my life. Since leaving Dallas we have moved to Florida, Manhattan and have now settled in San Francisco. She has done great in every setting we have lived in, though seems to prefer places with squirrels to chase. I have attached some pictures of Moxie (now 5 years old). Thanks again and keep up the great work.
Hello, I adopted Casper in March and my husband and I are so happy to welcome him to our family. He and his brother Pookie get along really well together. They play chase, wrestle and bark at the squirrels and whoever might go by. They love planing in the back yard. Pookie is definitely the Big Brother, being 5 years older than Casper. And Casper loves being with him and going for walks together. We are a very Happy Family and having two dogs that are pals makes it twice as nice.
Here are the long-promised photos of Vladimir [Bubba]. He's such a funny little guy; we are so lucky to have him in our life. And our other cat, Super Hans, just loves him, as these photos attest. Right now they're both stalking a bird on the other side of the screen door... Better luck next time, guys!
Wanted to update the society and thank you for giving us the best dog ever. Meg was adopted in January of 1997. She recently died after a wonderfully long and relatively healthy life of 17 yrs. During this time we were blessed to have her in our lives. See photos attached!
